Project 1: What variables are predictors of success in March Madness?

This project was created in an efforts to explore my interests in sports analytics. My first ever networking call was freshman year with a data science team at the NHL, and they said I was too young and provided no value :P. Fast forward four years later sports science is still an interest of mine and now I have a degree in Data Science!

This project leverages data from Kaggle with aggregate basketball statistics from the years 2013-2023 from Division I programs. You can find more information about this project on my Github page, as well as a medium article I wrote detailing the steps I took.
