Hi,

my name is Danny Soulas and I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in May of 2024 graduating with a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Data Science and Economics.

At Wisconsin, I quickly realized I enjoyed helping others so I became the academic chair of my fraternity chapter. I don't believe anyone before me had organized study groups or provided support for selecting classes, so it was quite new for the chapter. During my tenure as academic chair, our chapter ranked in the top 3 out of 26 fraternities in average GPA, which was gratifying to see.

Building on this experience, I expanded my role to the broader fraternity community at Wisconsin. As Vice President of Scholarship, I managed the academic support of over 1,000 fraternity brothers and had the opportunity to award scholarships, fostering a culture of academic excellence across the board.

The last hobby I wanted to mention is my affinity for traveling. I studied in Copenhagen, Denmark my junior year and it was probably my favorite semester of college. I could see myself temporarily living in Europe for a couple years if the opportunity presented itself.

My most recent travels were to Asia. I went to Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and South Korea. It was an unforgettable experience and I met a lot of cool people. I solo traveled for about two weeks, which was a fun and exciting way to step out of my comfort zone. The picture on the right is me with some friends + fellow travelers in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam!

Thanks for reading a little about me!

Aside from school activities I like to run in my free time! I ran a Marathon this past November which I never thought I would do.

I ran the marathon with my sponsor, Tuesday’s Children, a charity founded to support families impacted by 9/11 and other communities facing adversity. The organization played a meaningful role in my life growing up, so it was incredibly rewarding to come full circle and give back to a cause that has given so much to others. I was able to receive tremendous support from my family and friends, raising $3300! Feel free to read a little more about that journey.

Additionally, if you want to read more about Tuesday’s Children’s you can find them linked here. Their mission is to “provides healing and resilience for military families of the fallen and families affected by 9/11, turning pain into purpose while honoring their legacies.” If this message resonates with you just as it does with me, please go to their website to donate and get involved!
